The Actions I’m Taking NOW and Why I’m Not Going Mute

This week’s episode will not have a full transcript, I want to dedicate this space to a list that I hope grows as you listen. These are the people I am learning from now, have learned from before, and will continue to learn from. This list will grow as I do more of my own work.

Like I shared on the podcast, I will screw this up, and for all the times I have, and for all the times I will, I am deeply sorry. I am committed to the learning and the evolving that system racism is owed. I am committed to the UNlearning that is so necessary and grateful for each and every one of my teachers.

As I share these leaders and the resources they offer, I encourage you to be mindful of investing with them. Not just financially, but with your whole person. Show up, do this work. You performance is not helpful, only your commitment to change.

I would encourage you to start with these…

Osheta Moore – IGTV “There’s a better way to post about race”

Erica Cordae – Why Are You Going Mute?

Danait Berhe-Gaber – IGTV “Save us your black square and do this instead…”

Andréa Ranae – Information on Performative Racism
